Description
Wireless area detector BM25, ATEX Zone 2 approved stand-alone gas detector
Oldham’s wireless area detector BM25 puts the advantages of a fixed area detector into a robust, user-friendly and transportable instrument.
It is designed to detect up to 5 different types of gas, and is for use in the field or for short-term tasks, personal protection, area surveillance or in places where fixed systems are not suitable.
The device can be easily moved around and weighs less than 7 kg.
The alarm function consists of an ultra strong 360° flashing light and a sound alarm of a whopping 103 dB at a distance of one metre.
STEL and TWA values can be retrieved, as well as having data logging capacity for more than 4 months.
The batteries in the BM25 provide up to 170 hours of continuous operating time, depending on the configuration, and can be charged in just 4½ hours. It is also possible to get an enclosed charger for long-term use in risk areas.
The instrument can send information wirelessly to a controller via radio communication, and is suitable for network setup with up to 30 units per unit. network.
It allows you to work in a larger work area with approved equipment in an ATEX Zone 2.
The area detector frames a given area and is perfect for, for example, welding tasks, in areas with a risk of gas leaks or with a risk of explosion. When a detector picks up an elevated gas concentration, all detectors give an alarm, so that there is no doubt that it is time to stop work.
