Description
Optical multi-flame detector with self-test and alarm validation
Multiflame Detector DF-TV7 from Teledyne Oldham Simtronics.
It comes in two variants:
- DF-TV7-T
- This has been developed for hydrocarbon fuels. It has an optical self-test. Plus it is certified to be installed in SIL2 systems.
The detector uses three individual infrared wavelengths, this helps to minimize false alarms. As it has AI to validate all alerts.

- DF-TV7-V
- This is the alternative to the T version. It is designed to detect a large area while still sorting out false alarms. This is done by using two infrared wavelengths plus a fast-reacting UV bellows to validate any alarms.
This version is optimal to use in places that will experience extreme weather conditions.

DF-TV7 is ATEX and IECEx approved.
This measuring equipment will most often be used at tank facilities or under extreme conditions. Places where it is necessary, not only to have a warning before a possible leakage, but where it is a requirement to have flame detection.
